thailand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>from Singapore i flew to Bangkok Thailand and stayed there for 5 days.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nneedless to say the difference between Hong Kong\/Singapore and Thailand is big. public infrastructure is in much worse shape, there&#8217;s plenty of not maintained \/ old buildings. there&#8217;s obvious contrast lower living standards and lavish palaces that belong to the king.   <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3094.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3094-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMG_3094\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3094-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3094.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3055.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3055-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMG_3055\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3055-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_3055.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>also in Bangkokg i&#8217;ve stayed in hotel located in the <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.742923,100.508369\">china town<\/a> &#8211; very lively district with plenty of street food, bazaars and noise. <\/p>\n<p>things i&#8217;ve seen in a random order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.747639,100.495242\">saranrom park<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.749494,100.492201\">grand palace<\/a><\/li>\n<li>the river from a local ferry perspective going from <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.728551, 100.513401\">Si Phraya Pier\u200e<\/a> north to <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.787154, 100.508316\">Payap Pier<\/a> and back<\/li>\n<li>local canals using a small ferry from <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.755424,100.506932\">here<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.749202,100.541114\">there<\/a><\/li>\n<li>king&#8217;s palace <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q= 13.771352,100.513347\">here<\/a> and even allegedly the king himself coming\/leaving in a motorcade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>besides Bangkokg itself i saw Ayutthaya and the ruins of many small temples. city is ~80km north from Bangkok, you can catch train to there from the <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=13.738510,100.516598\">Hua Lamphong Station\u200e \/ central station<\/a>. train ride takes 2h, in 3rd class costs ~30THB. there are trains every 1-2h, they are late&#8230; even on departure.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2671.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2671-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMG_2671\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2671-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2671.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2744.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2744-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMG_2744\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2744-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2744.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>those that don&#8217;t like walking around the city can take tuk-tuk &#8211; tricycle build from a motorcycle and attached cabin. prices are very negotiable [going from 200THB to 100THB is not a problem], ride is bumpy and probably not very safe by Swedish standards nevertheless fun.<\/p>\n<p>as a side-note &#8211;
