{"id":1827,"date":"2013-06-10T19:01:47","date_gmt":"2013-06-10T18:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/?p=1827"},"modified":"2013-06-10T19:10:27","modified_gmt":"2013-06-10T18:10:27","slug":"dell-2135cn-016-317-restart-printer-contact-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/2013\/06\/dell-2135cn-016-317-restart-printer-contact-support\/","title":{"rendered":"dell 2135cn &#8211; 016-317 restart printer, contact support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i&#8217;ve bricked one of our printers. over the network upgrade of the dell 2135cn was interrupted and printer was most probably rebooted at the worst possible time &#8211; when it was flashing the new firmware.<\/p>\n<p>result? printer no longer responded over the network, the lcd panel displayed just:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\n016-317\r\nrestart printer\r\ncontact support\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>but&#8230; i&#8217;ve stumbled on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.refurbisheddellprinters.com\/content\/manuals\/service\/Dell%202135cn%20Full%20Manual.pdf\">this<\/a> [ <a href=\"https:\/\/kudzia.eu\/b\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Dell 2135cn Full Manual.pdf\">local copy<\/a> ] document and on the page 1 &#8211; 80 found a solution &#8211; emergency firmware recovery mode:<\/p>\n<pre>\r\nMake sure that the printer is connected to the computer via USB port (remove the network cable). \r\nThen, try downloading as follows:\r\n1) Power on the printer while pressing the <X Cancel> and <v> [tick-mark] buttons.\r\n2) The printer goes into the Download Mode with a message \"Download Mode Ready\".
